Heritage Farms Tasmania offer a number of hands-on courses throughout the year to help people on their journey to self-sufficiency. One of the most rewarding steps you can take is learning how to raise and butcher your own animals for meat. We are also putting together courses in farm fencing and infrastructure, and animal management.

Great for backpackers, tourists or locals looking to get a bit more involved in the day-to-day running of a farm. We have a fully self-contained 40 foot shipping container that sleeps 4 adults.

Our animals are fed recycled products from within existing food and beverage industries. So far, we have diverted over 4 million kgs of food waste from landfill, and that number keeps growing.
Our regeneratively and ethically raised cows and pigs taste great, and are great for the environment!
